Missouri Car Accident: Mt. Vernon/Aurora-Serious Injury
A Mount Vernon teenager was seriously injured in Lawrence County when the vehicle he was a passenger of ran off the roadway.
The accident happened on Route F when Daniel Caddick, 22, of Aurora was driving a 1994 Geo, according to the accident report. The car ran off one side of the road, over-corrected, then skidded off the opposite side. The vehicle then struck a ditch, overturned and ejected the passenger, Joseph McPherson, 17, of Mount Vernon. The car eventually came to rest on a fence.
McPherson has suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. 
The driver, Caddick, suffered moderate injuries and was also taken to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
